Peter Campbell commenced work with Price Waterhouse, Sydney in 1965, working for seven years within the audit division. He then established Morison Campbell, with offices in Sydney and Campbelltown specialising in small business services encompassing audit, taxation, computerised accounting services and accounting advice. In July 1991 the firm merged to form a Sydney-based firm of six partners with 35 staff (including 21 accounting professionals). In November 1999 he left to establish RP Campbell Associates to continue providing proactive accounting services to a client base including small to medium-sized businesses, professional firms and self-employed people.
Peter Campbell is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the Taxation Institute of Australia and the Institute of Company Directors; a registered company auditor, a tax agent, and a licensed real estate agent. He has particular interests in technology, insurance, healthcare and property sectors and a passion for assisting businesses with strategic planning and start-ups. He has been an active participant in the ICAA's Small Business Workshop programme for more than 25 years. As a keen yachtsman he is a member of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
He is the founding partner and the specialist audit partner of RP Campbell Associates, www.rpca.com.au, which provides management and strategic planning advice, taxation, accounting and audit services to a close group of clients whilst assisting in technology business start-ups. To extend the Firm's network of professional associates R P Campbell Associates joined the JHI International network of 150 accounting firms and business advisory firms in 55 countries, www.jhi.com. The Australian and New Zealand member firms of JHI share resources as the Australian Solutions Group, www.asg.com.au.
Further, he is the managing director and licencee of Meridian Property Management Pty Limited, which provides property management services to owners of commercial and industrial properties and offers property investment advice generally.

Sonic Healthcare Limited, www.sonichealthcare.com.au, is ASX listed and with revenues exceeding $A3 billion, has a strong growth history and is the largest medical diagnostics company in Australia and New Zealand. Sonic has expanded into the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the USA. It continues its expansion by acquisitions in Europe and the USA.
Silex Systems Limited, www.silex.com.au, is an ASX listed alternative energy technology company with a unique laser based isotope separation technology for uranium enrichment. In May 2006 Silex and the General Electric Company signed an exclusive Commercialisation and License Agreement for the technology and the application is currently in the final stage of development being fully funded by Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), a subsidiary of GE (51%) formed in partnership with Hitach (25%) and Cameco (24%).
In June 2009 Silex established a solar energy division by acquiring the Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) solar manufacturing facility from BP Solar. This division was expanded by the company acquiring the assets of Solar Systems Group, www.solarsystems.com.au on 9 February 2010. Silex has other synergistic investments in the semiconductor and photonics fields.
QRxPharma Limited, www.qrxpharma.com is ASX listed and is a clinical-stage specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialisation of new treatments for pain management and central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The Company's lead products comprise a patented combination of existing drugs, with a well-defined path to regulatory approval and sales. QRxPharma's lead drug compound, MoxDuo™ IR (Q8003IR), began Phase III clinical trials in November 2007. The Company's preclinical and clinical pipeline includes other technologies in the fields of neurodegenerative disease and venomics.
Previous appointments
Peter Campbell was appointed Chairman of LifeCare Health Limited in October 1999 and Executive Chairman in January 2002. He resigned in August 2002 after a successful merger with Foundation Healthcare Limited (now The Independent Practitioners Network Limited). He was appointed an independent non-executive director of SciGen in August 1999 (resigned February 2005), Admerex Limited in February 2007 (resigned October 2008). In May 2001 he was appointed a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of St Laurence Australia Limited (resigned February 2009). He was a founding partner of Stapleton Partners, Chartered Accountants, in 1991.
- SciGen was a biopharmaceutical company incorporated in Singapore but listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
- LifeCare provided a comprehensive range of services to physiotherapists and dentists who conduct their own practices as part of the LifeCare Franchise system.
- Admerex provided software to financial institutions in Australia, the United Kingdom, Middle East, Asia and the United States of America for accounts receivable management and collections. It also owned and operated a call centre in the Philippines.
- St Laurence was a subsidiary of St Laurence Group Limited, which was incorporated in New Zealand and had over $NZ1 billion of property under management. The Australian subsidiary was undertaking a mezzanine financing and property development role in Australia while assessing available opportunities. The Australian company held a Financial Securities Licence.
- Stapleton Partners was a mid tier firm of Chartered Accountants with associated firms in the Australian capital cities. It was a member firm of the ACPA international network of accountants. Peter Campbell was a founding partner and the partner in charge of Information Technology and a joint Audit Partner.
